ChatGPT can run Velocity’s quote interview for an Alberta business. Paste one request into a new chat and it reads our interview, then asks about your business in plain language. When it is done it hands your answers to our quote page, where a licensed broker reviews them, usually within one business day.

Sign in to ChatGPT before you start. Signed out, it usually cannot make the answer file or run the code that builds a one-click link, so you would be copying a block of text by hand.

What happens next

  1. Paste the request below into a new chat. ChatGPT opens our interview and tells you which form it will use.
  2. Share your website or a current policy if you have one. ChatGPT lists what it read from them, with where each answer came from, and asks you to correct anything wrong.
  3. Answer the questions that are left. It asks no more than six things at a time, and a short reply like “1 yes, 2 fourteen staff” is fine.
  4. At the end it gives you a link or a block of answers. Open the link, or copy the block and paste it on our quote page.
  5. Tick the two boxes and press Open my form. Every answer is on the form for you to check before you submit it.

Free or paid account

On a free plan ChatGPT can run code only a few times a day, so expect the block of answers more often than the link. Copying it takes a few seconds and ends up in exactly the same place. Paid plans usually produce the link.

Why does the request ask ChatGPT to follow the instructions “as if I had written them”?

ChatGPT treats a web page it reads as information rather than as instructions. In our first tests it read the interview and then drifted into questions of its own. Saying the instructions come from you is what keeps it on our questions.

ChatGPT says it cannot open the interview. What now?

Try the request again in a new chat. If it still cannot read the page, open https://www.velocityinsurance.ca/ai-intake/forms.md yourself, copy all of it, and paste it into the chat with the request.

Can ChatGPT submit the quote for me?

No, and that is deliberate. ChatGPT prepares your answers and you submit them yourself, from our form, after checking them. Nothing reaches Velocity until you press Submit.

Does ChatGPT keep my answers?

OpenAI keeps the chat under your account’s privacy settings, like any other conversation, and you can delete it once you have submitted. Velocity only receives what you send from the form.
